I started my first company from my bedroom in Tacoma when I was 13, dreaming of one day building something like the tech companies I watched flourish in Seattle. I remember being awed that someone could create a company from nothing and I knew that's what I wanted to do with my life. After 28 years of building, it's heartbreaking to watch Seattle's leaders shift from celebrating entrepreneurs to making clear we're the problem.
